Juanfran is convinced that yesterday's hammer blow in Pamplona won't weigh down Atlético going into the upcoming games. "We are going to prepare for the derby with our minds set on winning, safe in the knowledge that if we do so, we will go above Real Madrid again. We won't let this defeat hurt us too much. We are playing Real at home, in front of our fans, and I think it will be completely different to the cup matches. It will be like a cup final and I'm sure we'll put in a great performance and beat them", he stated.
The loss to Osasuna was only Atleti's second away defeat of the season. Diego Simeone's side is a notoriously tough proposition home and away, although the 'Rojiblancos' have now lost two straight games on the road.
Three's not a charm
Yesterday Atlético let in three goals for the first time this season. Simeone's men have been uncharacteristically shipping goals away from home recently, conceding twice in the win in Vallecas and falling 2-0 away at Almería.

No suspensions
The only positive to come out of the trip to Pamplona is that all of the five players who were a card away from suspension will be available for the derby. Filipe Luís, Godín and Costa all started against Osasuna but steered clear of a booking, as did Arda Turan, who came on in the second half. Miranda, meanwhile, stayed on the bench throughout.
